What do Guided Breathwork & Mindfulness Journeys Include?
Breathwork, Meditation, Visualization, and Journaling are evidence-based tools that have been proven effective in supporting us on our journey to inner healing and peace.
Breathwork
Breathwork is the deliberate control of the breath and is a powerful tool for healing and transformation. Practicing slow, deep breathing activates the vagus nerve and moves us into the parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system response essential for our bodies to heal and repair. With practice, breathwork can bridge the gap between our conscious and subconscious minds, allowing us to become aware of and release old beliefs and patterns that may keep us stuck.
Visualization
Guided visualization engages the imagination, allowing one to create any reality they like within their mind. While visualization is the practice of seeing in one’s mind, often as images, emotions are a key part of this practice. When we visualize, we are feeling just as much as we are seeing.
Meditation
Meditation has been shown to strengthen the immune system, decrease inflammatory processes in the body, and improve blood pressure. This powerful practice also positively influences mental and emotional well-being, including increasing focus, decreasing mind chatter, and reducing feelings of stress while promoting internal calmness.
Journaling/Free Writing
Writing can be a liberating and insightful practice that deepens self-discovery, reduces feelings of anxiety and stress, and offers an effective way to process emotions. Journaling or free writing has also been shown to increase overall well-being and resilience.
