I’m Sarah, a certified trauma-informed Breathwork Facilitator, Coach, and Founder of Rebel Routes.
Like many others, my journey has not been straightforward. After struggling in my early and mid-twenties to know my purpose and choose meaningful work, I trained as a career coach. I dedicated almost a decade to supporting other humans in connecting with meaningful work opportunities.
In 2019, I experienced the onset of a deep depression accompanied by overwhelming anxiety. This experience forced me to face parts of myself I had hidden, forgotten, or rejected. While challenging and painful, this part of my journey cracked me open in the best possible way.
In January 2022, I became a graduate student in a Master of Arts Counselling Psychology program. Through this learning, I continuously discover new depths of myself and the human collective we are all part of. Completing an eight-month trauma-informed Breathwork Facilitator program gave me a powerful, accessible tool to guide myself and others to new levels of transformation and awareness.
Rebel Routes is the result of everything I have learned and experienced thus far, professionally and personally. It is a place to come together to heal, grow, connect and reclaim our power as unique individuals and a collective. Fear can be a potent source of pain and separation, but when we gather and witness one another on similar journeys, this fear shrinks, and love and compassion take its place.
I know I am here to change the world for the better, and I believe that is one reason why you are here, too. We all have different gifts, passions, abilities, experiences, and perspectives, and this makes our world a more interesting, rich, and fulfilling place.
When you are ready to join a community of humans who want to heal and grow into their best and most authentic selves, you will be welcomed with open arms and hearts.
Rebel Routes Mission:
To guide humans on the empowering journey of healing their relationship with stress through consistent (enough) practice of Breathwork & Mindfulness tools, enabling them to flourish as they build emotional, psychological, and physical resilience and well-being.
Core Values:
Choice. The freedom to choose how, when, where, and why you show up. This is your life, and no one else can decide what you need at any moment or what is best for you. There is freedom in taking responsibility.
Community. All are welcome to show up as they are, where they are. Cultivating a safe and inclusive environment within each session is a top priority. We are all on the same human team.
Compassion. For ourselves and all the parts that make us who we are. For each other and our collective humanity, including the struggles and joys that come with this experience of being human.
Curiosity. The courage and willingness to practice letting go of judgement and being right, and opening to new possibilities and ways of thinking, acting, and being.
